Ages 5-6 
Beginning Ballet (First Hour)
Requirements: two-quarter class commitment; ballet shoes and hair up for each class; no jeans. Learn basic ballet positions, steps, and terminology through standing barre work and simple center floor exercises. A Family Night performance is planned.

Composers (First Hour)
The composers, stories, and musical features behind some of the most recognizable classical music pieces.

Intro to Ballet (Second Hour)
Barre, stretches, center and combinations across the floor. Family Night performance planned. Requirements: 2-quarter class, dancers must be at co-op weekly (2 absence max), hair must be in ponytail before class, ballet shoes must be worn, and $15 costume fee is due upon registration. Please do not register your child for this class if your family tends to miss a lot of co-op. Frequent absences make things hard for the entire class. Cap: 12.

Food prep, safety, creativity and, of course, lots of eating! Cap: 12 students.

Come on a fun "sightseeing" tour around the world as we learn about famous landmarks and their significance.

Ages 7-11 
Egyptian Times (First Hour)
Travel to ancient Egypt through crafts, stories and videos as we learn about pyramids, pharaohs, mummies and more!

Earth Science (First Hour)
3-quarter class covering geology, meteorology and astronomy. Textbooks will be loaned from our co-op library (siblings may share). Note: textbook is written at middle-school level. Class cap: 16 students each quarter (unless sharing textbook).

Life Skills: Cooking (First Hour)
Never go hungry again after learning these basic skills. We’ll bake, cook and sample our results. The only class requirements are active brains and taste buds! Cap: 12.

Learn about how your body works, from the smallest cells to the systems that keep you alive. Fun, interesting and gross facts about the human body!

Revolutionary War (Second Hour)
Think like a historian as you explore the effect of individual choices and develop a new understanding of daily life during the Revolutionary War through gameplay, classroom discussion and activities.

3-quarter course using One-Year Adventure Novel materials. Students will be responsible for weekly out-of-class assignments which will be graded by parents. Fee: $115/student (unless sharing with a sibling). Books will be ordered at beginning of August. Please contact teacher for more information.

Life Skills: Career Exploration
Explore pros and cons of careers in everything from the trades to careers requiring a degree or certification.  
Take an aptitude test to discover potential career fields based on your abilities and interests.  
We'll enjoy visits from guest speakers from a variety of fields.

Physical Science (Second Hour)
Introduction to the physical environment and the basic laws that make it work. Class discussion and laboratory experience will include hands-on experiments and demonstrations to solidify understanding of material. Required: Apologia Exploring Creation with Physical Science Textbook, Student Notebook, Test and Solution Manual.

What is art and why study it? Explore different periods of art and discuss what influenced changing styles. Due to nature of class, artwork studied may include nudity at times. Please contact teacher for more information.

Write and deliver speeches in a peer-reviewed setting. Speeches vary in type from personal to informative.
