Village Christian Co-op (known informally as "Village") meets in Wadsworth, Ohio, for three 8-week quarters on Tuesdays from September to May.
Our co-op is open for homeschooling families with school-aged children (kindergarten age 5 and up) and any younger siblings. Our member families enjoy enrichment and academic classes, quarterly pizza parties, yearbook, field trips, an end-of-the year program featuring performances like dance, drama and choir, plus much more. A $40 registration fee is due upon enrollment to hold your family's spot in the co-op, with an additional $25 per nursery-aged child and $75 per class-aged child due in September. Additional fees are charged for some field trips and certain classes; these activities are always optional.
Village is primarily an enrichment co-op, relying on co-op parents to share their gifts by teaching subjects they are interested in and are passionate about. Class offerings supplement what students are learning at home, either as electives or to support core subjects, allowing a fun, once-a-week opportunity to interact with fellow Christian homeschoolers.
We are a 100% volunteer co-op. Everyone who belongs must contribute to the whole for the co-op to exist.
The mission of Village Christian Co-op is to enhance what our children are learning at home and to provide social interactions through age-appropriate classes.
We are a Christian co-op where every activity has the goal of being God-honoring and modeling fundamental biblical truths, while further developing godly character within our children and ourselves.
